Mini PC Warranty and Return Policies by Brand (2026)
Most mini PCs come from a handful of Chinese brands that sell both on their own stores and on Amazon, and their warranties are not the same. Some give three years, some one; some take returns for any reason for 30 days, one gives you 7 days and charges a fee once the box is opened. Here is what each brand’s official policy page actually says, checked line by line, and what changes when you buy on Amazon instead.
In short
Warranty length ranges from one year (Bosgame, Apple, GMKtec for the whole unit) to three years (GEEKOM, ASUS NUC, and Beelink and KAMRUI on some of their pages). Return windows range from 7 days at GMKtec to 30 days at most others.
Where you buy matters more than the number of years. Minisforum’s warranty explicitly excludes Amazon purchases, and ACEMAGIC and KAMRUI send third-party buyers back to the seller. On Amazon, your safety net is the 30-day return window (extended to January 31, 2027 for purchases made from November 1 to December 31, 2026) and the A-to-z Guarantee.
Strongest written policies: Minisforum (two years, 30-day returns for any reason, shipping paid on defects for the whole warranty) and GEEKOM (three years). Weakest: GMKtec’s 7-day return window with a 15% fee on opened units, and Bosgame’s one year.
Warranty and returns by brand: the comparison table
For purchases from each brand’s own US store, warranties run from one to three years and return windows from 7 to 30 days. Fees for a change-of-mind return range from nothing but shipping to 15% of the price.
| Brand | Warranty (mini PCs) | Return window | Change-of-mind return costs | Bought on Amazon? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minisforum | 2 years (orders from Aug 1, 2026); 3 years for orders placed Mar 9 – Jul 31, 2026 | 30 days from delivery, any reason | You pay return shipping | Warranty excludes Amazon and other marketplaces |
| GEEKOM | 3 years from delivery | 30 days; item must be unopened and resalable | 5% fee + shipping and handling (about $20 on average) | Warranty covers “official GEEKOM channels” |
| ASUS NUC | 3 years (limited) | Set by the retailer | Set by the retailer | Covered if bought from an authorized distributor |
| Beelink | 3 years on its warranty page; 1 year on its service summary and FAQ | 30 days from receipt, unused, original packaging | You pay return shipping | Returns via the seller; warranty terms not specified |
| KAMRUI | 3 years on kamrui.com; 2 years on store.kamrui.com | 30 days from receipt, undamaged | You pay return shipping | Brand sends you to the seller |
| ACEMAGIC | 2 years (3 years for purchases before Aug 1, 2025) | 30 days from the order date, undamaged | You pay return shipping | Brand sends you to the seller |
| GMKtec | 1 year on the whole unit + 2 years replacement of RAM, SSD and power adapter | 7 days for a refund; exchange only days 8–15 | 15% fee if opened; $35 deducted on free-shipping orders | Covered if bought from an authorized seller |
| Bosgame | 1 year from receipt | 30 days from delivery | 5% fee if not a quality issue | Amazon’s own return policy applies |
| Apple (Mac mini) | 1 year + 90 days of phone support; AppleCare+ extends to 3 years | 14 days from receipt (Apple Store) | None for an undamaged product | Apple warranty applies; Amazon return rules apply |
Sources: each brand’s warranty, return and refund pages for its US store (listed below). “Return window” is the brand’s own store policy; Amazon purchases follow Amazon’s policy. Where a brand’s pages contradict each other, we show both.
The rule that matters most: where you buy
A brand’s warranty page usually describes purchases from its own store. Bought on Amazon, you deal first with the Amazon seller, which is often the brand’s own storefront but sometimes a reseller.
Minisforum is the clearest: its policy says the warranty does not apply to products bought through distributors, Amazon or other marketplaces, and tells those buyers to contact the original seller. ACEMAGIC and KAMRUI write the same thing in softer terms: for purchases on third-party platforms, get in touch with that platform for refunds, replacements and after-sales service. GMKtec takes the opposite approach and covers products bought from authorized sellers, while GEEKOM limits its three years to “official GEEKOM channels” and ASUS to authorized distributors.
In practice, most of these brands run an official storefront on Amazon, and that storefront usually answers warranty emails. But the written promise on the brand’s site is not automatically yours. Before you click buy, check the “Sold by” line on the listing: the brand’s own store is safer than an unknown reseller, and our mini PC buyer’s checklist lists the other checks.
Brand by brand: what the fine print says
The table hides details that matter when something breaks: who pays shipping, whether you get a new or refurbished replacement, and how long you have to report a dead unit.
Minisforum: two years, the most complete policy
Minisforum’s US policy, last updated July 27, 2026, gives two years on PCs bought on or after August 1, 2026; orders placed between March 9 and July 31, 2026 got three. You can return any product for any reason within 30 days of delivery, paying return shipping yourself. For defects, Minisforum pays shipping both ways for the whole warranty: a refund or exchange in the first 30 days, repair or a new replacement up to day 180, and repair or a refurbished replacement after that. US customers send units to a US service center. Two limits: the warranty covers only the original direct purchaser, and overclocking damage is excluded even when Minisforum’s own software enables it. Before shipping a unit for repair, you must remove your memory and SSDs and wipe your data.
GEEKOM: three years, strict returns
GEEKOM gives mini PCs three years from delivery for purchases through official channels. The 30-day return window is narrower than it sounds: the item must be unopened and resalable, returns not caused by a quality problem cost a 5% fee, and the policy also mentions a shipping and handling fee averaging about $20 on returns. Every return needs an authorization number first. For a defect, GEEKOM pays shipping during the first six months; after that, you do.
ASUS NUC: three years through authorized sellers
ASUS, which took over Intel’s NUC line, offers three-year limited warranties on NUC products bought from authorized distributors. Return windows depend on the store. When you send a NUC mini PC for warranty exchange, ASUS asks you to return it with its original memory and drive, and it erases the storage of returned units.
Beelink: three years or one, depending on the page
Beelink’s warranty policy page promises a three-year limited warranty from receipt, with Beelink paying return shipping of the repaired unit. But on the same day, its service-policy summary and FAQ still described a one-year warranty, and the summary mentions both a 10-day money-back guarantee for unopened products and a 30-day return policy. Returns through Beelink are only for orders placed on bee-link.com, in unused condition with the original packaging, and you pay shipping unless the product is defective. Ask Beelink to confirm the warranty length in writing for your order and keep the email.
KAMRUI: two or three years, 30-day returns
KAMRUI’s pages also disagree: kamrui.com describes a three-year warranty for products bought from the KAMRUI and NiPoGi official store, while the store at store.kamrui.com advertises two years. Both describe a 30-day money-back guarantee for undamaged products, with return shipping on you, and a dead-on-arrival report within 7 days. For defects, KAMRUI pays all shipping in the first 30 days; after that, you pay to send the unit back and KAMRUI pays to ship the replacement. If you bought a KAMRUI on Amazon, the brand’s policy tells you to contact that seller.
ACEMAGIC: two years since August 2025
ACEMAGIC cut its warranty from three years to two for purchases made on or after August 1, 2025; earlier purchases keep three. The 30-day money-back guarantee for undamaged products is counted from the order date, not from delivery, so a slow shipment eats into it. Defects follow the same split as KAMRUI: ACEMAGIC pays all shipping during the first 30 days after receipt, then only the replacement leg. Dead units must be reported within seven days. Our ACEMAGIC K5 review covers one of its current models.
GMKtec: one year, the shortest return window
GMKtec’s US policy describes a “1+2 years” warranty: one year on the whole unit and two years of replacement coverage for the RAM, the SSD and the power adapter. Repairs are free, but you pay to ship the device to the service location. The return policy is the strictest in this list: 7 days from receipt for a refund, a 15% restocking fee if the box has been opened or the unit used, $35 deducted from the refund on free-shipping orders, exchanges only between days 8 and 15, and nothing after day 15. Claims for missing or damaged items must be made within two business days of delivery. GMKtec’s warranty does cover units bought from authorized sellers, which helps Amazon buyers.
Bosgame: one year
Bosgame gives one year from the day you receive the product and accepts returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery, with a 5% fee when the return is not caused by a quality issue. Dead units must be reported within 7 days. For a product that does not match its description, Bosgame says it reimburses return shipping up to USD 60.
Apple Mac mini: one year, but stores everywhere
Every Mac comes with a one-year limited warranty and up to 90 days of complimentary technical support, and AppleCare+ extends coverage to three years. Apple’s own return window is the shortest of the big names, 14 days from receipt, but Apple Stores and authorized service providers make claims far easier than mailing a box to a Chinese brand’s warehouse.
Buying on Amazon: returns, the holiday window and A-to-z
Most items bought on Amazon can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Purchases made between November 1 and December 31, 2026 can be returned until January 31, 2027, or January 15, 2027 for Apple products.
Amazon’s standard policy lets you return most items for a refund or replacement within 30 days of delivery, as long as they are in original or unused condition; check the return line on each listing, since some sellers offer more. Amazon has now made its holiday extension a yearly rule: in an October 16, 2026 notice to sellers, it said items bought from November 1 to December 31, 2026 can be returned until January 31, 2027, with an earlier January 15 deadline for Apple-brand products. That makes Black Friday the safest time of the year to try a mini PC.
If a third-party seller refuses a valid return or a refund for an item that arrived damaged, defective or not as described, Amazon’s A-to-z Guarantee lets you file a claim with Amazon directly, after giving the seller a chance to respond. It is a backstop for the first weeks, not a long-term warranty: after the return window, you depend on the brand. Keep your order page and the brand’s emails in one place.
Does upgrading the RAM or SSD void the warranty?
In the US, a brand generally cannot void your warranty just because you opened the case or used third-party parts, but damage you cause during an upgrade is not covered. Keep the original parts.
The federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act generally stops a company from making its warranty conditional on using its own branded parts or service, unless it provides them for free. In July 2024, the FTC sent warning letters to companies over this, including three computer-equipment makers that used “warranty void if removed” stickers placed where they block routine maintenance.
Brand policies don’t always reflect that. Beelink’s warranty page lists “modify, delete, customize or exchange certain parts” among the conditions that void it, and ACEMAGIC and KAMRUI exclude damage from “replacing hardware improperly”. Minisforum and ASUS ask you to remove user-installed memory and drives before you send a unit in. The safe approach: store the original RAM and SSD, take photos before and after, use an antistatic precaution, and put the original parts back before any claim. Our RAM and SSD upgrade guide walks through it.
How to file a warranty claim that gets answered
Most brands handle claims by email and ask for the same things: order number, serial number, a clear description of the fault, and photos or a video. Send them all in the first message.
- On day one, film the unboxing and the first boot. Several brands give only 7 days to report a dead unit (GEEKOM, KAMRUI, ACEMAGIC, Bosgame, Minisforum), and GMKtec gives 2 business days for missing or damaged items.
- Keep the box and all accessories for at least 30 days. Minisforum, ACEMAGIC and KAMRUI require them for a return.
- Write in English, with the order number, the serial number (photo of the label), what happens, when, and what you already tried (another cable, another screen, a BIOS reset, a clean Windows install). GMKtec asks for English to speed up processing.
- Never ship without an authorization. Beelink, GEEKOM and Minisforum may refuse or delay a package sent without approval.
- Back up and wipe your data, and put the original memory and SSD back unless told otherwise.
- Use a tracked shipping method and send the tracking number to support the same day.
- Escalate in the right order: brand support, then the Amazon seller and the A-to-z Guarantee within the return window, then your card issuer if a refund you were promised never arrives.
Our take: which brands have the strongest policies
On paper, Minisforum’s policy is the most complete and GEEKOM’s warranty the longest. GMKtec’s return terms are the weakest, and Beelink and KAMRUI should fix their contradictory pages.
- Minisforum: two years, returns for any reason for 30 days, shipping paid on defects for the whole warranty and a US service center. The catch: only purchases from its own store.
- GEEKOM: three years, but returns only for unopened units and with fees.
- ACEMAGIC and KAMRUI: two to three years and a real 30-day money-back window, with shipping on you after the first month.
- Beelink: possibly three years, but get it confirmed in writing.
- GMKtec and Bosgame: one year on the unit. GMKtec’s 7-day window and 15% fee on opened units make Amazon’s 30-day policy the better route for its products.
A written policy is only a promise, and owners report mixed experiences with every brand here. That is why buying from a store with an easy return window, and testing the machine hard in the first week, matters as much as the number of years. FAQ
Which mini PC brand has the best warranty?
On paper, GEEKOM and ASUS NUC offer three years, and Beelink and KAMRUI also mention three years on some of their pages. Minisforum offers two years but has the most complete policy: returns for any reason within 30 days and shipping paid on defects for the whole warranty, for purchases from its own US store.
Is the mini PC warranty valid if I buy on Amazon?
It depends on the brand. Minisforum’s warranty excludes Amazon and other marketplaces, and ACEMAGIC and KAMRUI tell third-party buyers to contact the seller. GMKtec covers units bought from authorized sellers, and ASUS covers NUCs bought from authorized distributors. On Amazon, you also have the 30-day return window and the A-to-z Guarantee.
How long do I have to return a mini PC?
Most brands accept returns within 30 days on their own stores: Minisforum, KAMRUI, ACEMAGIC (counted from the order date), Beelink, GEEKOM (unopened only) and Bosgame. GMKtec allows 7 days for a refund, and Apple 14 days. On Amazon, most items have 30 days, and purchases made between November 1 and December 31, 2026 can be returned until January 31, 2027.
Does adding RAM or an SSD void a mini PC warranty?
In the US, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act generally prevents a company from conditioning its warranty on using its own parts or service, and the FTC has warned companies about “warranty void if removed” stickers. Damage you cause during the upgrade is still not covered, and some brands ask for the original parts back during a claim, so keep them.
Who pays shipping for a mini PC warranty repair?
It varies. Minisforum pays both ways for defects during the whole warranty. KAMRUI and ACEMAGIC pay everything in the first 30 days, then only the replacement leg. GEEKOM pays during the first six months. GMKtec asks you to pay shipping to its service location, and Beelink pays to send the repaired unit back.
